Worship & Liturgy

At Mass, the parish gathers to hear God’s word, offer thanks, and receive the Eucharist, also called Holy Communion. Many people help make that prayerful gathering possible through music, hospitality, reading, serving at the altar, preparing the church, and other ministries. If you feel drawn to help, we would be glad to talk with you. Experience is welcome, but a willing heart and a desire to grow are a good place to begin.

Take Part in the Prayer of the Church

Worship and liturgy may include opportunities in music, hospitality, proclamation of Scripture, altar service, care for the church, and other roles that support parish prayer. Training and preparation are provided as needed.

The right opportunity depends on your interests, availability, and the parish’s current needs.

The ministry roster includes Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, readers, hospitality ministers and ushers, altar servers, choir members, instrumentalists, and people who help care for the worship space and liturgical linens. Each role serves the parish in a different way, but all help create a prayerful and welcoming Mass.
