Welcome to Christ on the Mountain. We are a Catholic parish in the Green Mountain area of Lakewood, where people gather to worship, grow in faith, care for one another, and serve our neighbors.
Whether you are new to the area, returning to regular Mass, looking for a faith home for your family, or hoping to become more connected in parish life, we are glad you found us. You do not need to have every next step planned. Come pray with us, introduce yourself, and take your time getting to know the parish.
A parish where you can belong
Christ on the Mountain is a neighborhood parish with a real rhythm of worship, prayer, learning, friendship, and service. Here, Sunday Mass is the center of our life together, but parish life continues through the week in the conversations, prayers, classes, ministries, and moments of care we share.
We know that choosing a parish is personal. You may be looking for a place close to home, a reverent Mass, support for your children, people to pray with, or a way to put your faith into action. We would be grateful to welcome you and help you find your place here.
Your first visit
Come as you are. At Mass, you will find people of different ages and stages of life, from young families to longtime parishioners. Children are welcome, including the occasional wiggle, whisper, or need to step outside.
If you are visiting for the first time, there is no need to register before you come. Join us at a weekend or weekday Mass, participate as you are comfortable, and feel free to introduce yourself afterward. If you are not Catholic or are not prepared to receive Holy Communion, you are welcome to remain in your pew or come forward with your arms crossed for a blessing.
Mass is a good place to begin, but it does not have to be your only first step. You are also welcome to call the parish office, read the bulletin, or attend a current parish gathering when one interests you.
A strong place for families
Family life matters here. We want children to know that they belong in the Church now, not only when they are older. Families find opportunities to pray together, learn together, and meet other families who are trying to live the faith in ordinary life.
Our parish offerings have included:
Family Masses and Children's Liturgy of the Word, an age-appropriate reflection on the Sunday readings for younger children
Religious Education and sacramental preparation for children
Youth Group for middle- and high-school students, with prayer, formation, service, friendship, and fun
Children's and youth choirs
Vacation Bible School and family gatherings
Mom's Group and Pajamas, Pizza & Prayer, a family prayer gathering for parents and young children
The specific rhythm of programs changes with the season, so the bulletin is the best place to see what is coming up. If you have questions about a program for your child or teen, our faith-formation office would be glad to help.
Growing in faith together
Faith formation is not only for children. Adults can continue learning, praying, and asking questions at every stage of life. Christ on the Mountain offers opportunities for adult faith formation, Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Parents are especially invited to grow in faith alongside their children, including through adult sessions held during the Religious Education hour when scheduled.
You may also find your place through a prayer group, choir, ministry, fellowship gathering, or a quiet hour in the church. There is no single right way to get involved. A good first step is simply to choose one thing that helps you pray, learn, or meet someone.
Faith that reaches beyond our doors
At Christ on the Mountain, worship leads us to care for our neighbors. Parishioners share their time and generosity through practical efforts such as the Soup Kitchen, Sack Lunch Sundays, outreach collections, and seasonal drives for people in need.
You do not need to volunteer right away to be welcome here. But when you are ready, serving alongside others can be a meaningful way to meet people and put faith into action.

The parish bulletin is a simple way to see the week's Masses, prayer opportunities, family activities, and ways to participate. Flocknote is the parish's email and text communication tool for people who want timely updates.
You can begin with either one. There is no expectation that you will know everyone or join everything right away.

Registration helps the parish stay in touch, welcome your household, and connect you with the sacramental, formation, and pastoral support you may need. It is the right next step when you are ready to make Christ on the Mountain your parish home.
You may register online or complete a registration form and return it by email, mail, or the collection basket at Mass. If you would rather talk with someone first, please call the parish office. We would be glad to help.
