   Religious Education  

  • Elementary Religious Education Pre– Registration forms are due August 1.  If you are new to the parish and would like to register in our Elementary Program, call or stop by the parish office and pick up a registration form.  We will also hold registration after all the masses on August  18 & 19.  Classes will begin on Sept. 30

  • Do you ever shop at FAMILY CHRISTIAN STORES?  Did you know that each time someone from Christ on the Mountain makes a purchase at any Colorado Family Christian Stores location 10% of all regularly priced items will be rebated to COTM?  All you have to do is give our ID number when you check out.  Our church ID number is 111400.  You can also get our number at any Colorado Family Christian Store location.  The church will receive a check once a month and the funds will go towards our RE and Youth programs.

  • Thoughts to Grow On : Think of how special you would feel if an important official or even a king asked you to come and visit him. It would be a very rare privilege, something that most people would never have an opportunity to do.  An amazing thing has happened! The Creator of the whole world has invited YOU to talk to Him– any time, day or night. And what’s even more amazing, He has promised to listen.  Do you have exciting news? God wants to hear about it. Did your best friend move away? Share your feelings with God. No matter what it is, God is right there with His ears, and arms, wide open.  Today: Spend one whole minute talking to God.

     

Youth News 

  • The Youth Group will be celebrating CHRISTMAS IN JULY on Wed. July 25.  We will meet in the hall from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.  We will watch the movie The Nativity Story and eat Christmas cookies!  Please bring $5.00 or a one gallon can of vegetables  to donate to the Soup Kitchen.

  • Attention 2007 graduating seniors:  The Office of Youth Ministry of Denver is offering a $1000 scholarship to graduating seniors. All you have to do is fill out the brochure that you can get from Mary Ann Fairbank or at the Church Office, send it in , and one name will be picked by lottery. All information must be filled in legibly to qualify. The information will be passed on to the Catholic campus ministry at the college you are attending to help keep you tied in to the Church as you transition to college.   • The National Catholic Youth Conference will take place Nov. 8-11, 2007 in Columbus, Ohio.  The conference will feature inspiring speakers, awesome praise and worship music and loads of fun activities.  This conference is for High School students and will require you to miss 2 days of school ☺!  If you are interested in attending contact Mary Ann so we can start fund raising!

  • Thank you to the many parishioners who continue to provide the soup kitchen  at St. Elizabeth’s with plastic grocery bags, backpacks, and hats! The youth will continue to collect gallon size cans of potatoes, crushed tomatoes, carrots, corn and GREEN vegetables.   The soup kitchen is also in need of  bottled water, men’s socks, gloves, crackers, plastic silverware, and small paper plates.   If  you would be able to donate any of  these items or if you’d like to volunteer to make soup or join us in serving the third Sat. of each month, please call Mary Ann.
