Stewardship Thoughts
- In today’s Gospel, the disciples suggest that Jesus
disperse the crowd so that they might individually
seek food and lodging. The miracle of the feeding of the five thousand is
Jesus’ powerful reminder that when we share
in His gifts in His name there is always more than enough! Would
you like to take a warm sunny vacation while Colorado is covered in snow? Well, you
are in luck. We have a Cancun,
Mexico vacation for the week of February 2-9, 2008.
The value of this Mexico vacation is $1800.00.
You will have the opportunity to bid on it starting the first
weekend in August after all the Masses,
with the bidding ending at our Parish Picnic, August 26th. So what
are you willing to pay for a condo on the beach?
We hope to make enough money to buy a much needed ice maker for the
kitchen. So HAPPY bidding.
Joan Godshall was the lucky winner of this vacation 2 years ago. The
last time COTM did a cookbook was in 1989.
It’s
time for us to do it again. Please consider submitting an old family
favorite recipe for this cookbook. All recipes are welcome. We
are currently collecting information from different cookbook publishing
companies to determine which will best suit our needs. You can email
your recipes to: Liz@christonthemountain.org.
Please write the following in the subject line: RECIPE FOR COOKBOOK.
We also have forms available in the foyer that you can fill out and either
place the completed recipe in the collection basket, drop them by the
office or leave them in the basket on the table. Thank you so much
for helping us make this a great fund raiser for COTM and maybe make some
great Christmas presents for your family and friends. Second
Wind 2007 - Last year the parish had a great turn out for the
Second Wind Walk/Run/Ride which we hope to do better this year. Entry

23, 2007 and it will begin at Green Mountain High School , with
the starting time of 12:30 pm. Catholic

parish still receives 5% of every purchase which goes to the parish
ministries and other unbudgeted items. SUPPORT
OUR TROOPS - We would like to honor our parish family members and
friends who are serving our country in the Armed Forces. You are invited
to write the name(s) of your loved ones on the poster in the Foyer. Please
keep all those listed and their families in your prayers. Thank
you to the many anonymous parishioners who continue to provide the soup
kitchen with bags, backpacks, and hats! The youth will continue to collect
gallon size cans of potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, corn and
GREEN vegetables. The soup kitchen is also in need of bottled
water, men’s socks and gloves. If
you would be able to donate any of
these items or if you’d like to volunteer to make soup or join us
in serving the third Sat. of each month, please call Mary Ann. Communion
for the Sick & Elderly during Mass - If you would like Father John to bring you communion
before the general distribution of the Eucharist because you are unable to
